The school nurse is for all students enrolled at the school.
It is intended as a continuation of child health care (BVC), to monitor students’ development, preserving and enhancing children’s health and to promote healthy habits.
Confidentiality applies when visiting the school nurse. A school doctor visits the clinic regularly, appointments can be booked through the school nurse. Student Health does not provide care equivalent to that provided at medical centres (Vårdcentraler).
The school nurse’s duties include:
- Medical screening
- Health discussions and guidance
- Professional communication with individuals or Groups
- Help with referrals to the appropriate medical authority
- Help with injuries sustained during school hours or guidance and advice for other injuries
The school nurse is available Monday-Friday. The nurses office is located in the Petri Building.
